My Mission

Through shared meditation practices, it is my intention to energetically send Loving Kindness to as many people as possible. This is facilitated by co-creating an internal space of belonging and safety, where I provide healing, connection and awakening through meditation, grief recovery and Reiki.

About Liz

"A student exploring pathways of awakening my heart, mind and spirit to live more fully from a place of love. It is my purpose to share my learnings with others on the journey."

In 2010, I completed my Reiki Master training and I provide Reiki sessions for clients.  Additionally, I have completed the following in person and online transformational programs:  Pema Chodron’s ‘Noble Heart’ and ‘Embracing the Unknown’; The Power of Awareness with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield; and Tara Brach’s Radical Acceptance and True Refuge weekend retreat programs, as well as follower of the weekly meditations and talks given by Tara.  

In the summer of 2012, my sister and I attended Tara Brach’s Radical Acceptance meditation retreat at the Omega Institute.  The weekend was a respite from caring for our mother who was suffering from lung cancer.  The meditations and practices learned there shifted our focus from doing for to being with our mother, so that those precious moments were more intentional, present and deeply heartfelt. 

I have been guiding mindfulness meditation since 2013, in both corporate and private settings.  By using the breath as a bridge between the mind and the heart, I help us come home to ourselves - by tenderly opening our hearts, caring for our inner experience and then letting that goodness ripple out into the world.  

I am an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist in The Grief Recovery Method.  I teach an action-based program to help individuals heal from life’s deepest heartbreaks.  The 7-week course gently begins by exploring how we have been taught to grieve and reflecting on the myths of grief.  We walk through the steps as grievers, to move beyond our pain.

Guided Group Meditations 

Meditation is a practice where we focus our attention, usually on the breath, to awaken our awareness. This practice helps to achieve mental clarity and focus as well as provide an emotionally calm and stable state of being. It helps to create space for all that life asks us to hold.

Reiki Treatments

Reiki is a form of relaxation that promotes stress reduction, emotional and physical healing whereby ‘universal energy’ is transformed through the palms of the practitioner.

Individual Grief Recovery

“Grief is the feeling of reaching out for someone who has always been there… only to discover when I need them one more time, they are no longer there.”  - from The Grief Recovery Method

Over the course of 7 weeks, we share some of the myths of grief and look at our beliefs about grieving. We explore areas in our life where we wanted things to be better, different or more.  We show how to take specific actions to complete your relationship with a loved one who has died, or any other loss of expectations, hopes or dreams.

**Grief Recovery sessions are scheduled after a complimentary consultation.

Group Grief Recovery

Similar to the Individual Grief Recovery Course, over 8 classes , we share some of the myths of grief and look at our beliefs about grieving in a group setting.  Groups are about 10 people and provide a feeling of not being alone or isolated in our loss experiences.  The book and course materials are the same as the individual class.

About the Program

As professionals, we are motivated, encouraged, and expected to excel at our jobs. However, accelerating workplaces, industries, and modern digitalization of the business world presents unique challenges to the human mind and body. All which tend to lead to stress and anxiety as well as reduced concentration and mental clarity. Therefore, we should put a premium on responsiveness, clarity of thought, and quality of work in order to obtain the best possible results for our business partners in highly complex and competitive industries. 

"Research has found that mindfulness training alters our brains and how we engage with ourselves, others, and our work. When practiced and applied, mindfulness fundamentally alters the operating system of the mind." (HBR Jan 2017). Mindfulness practice decreases activity in the parts of the brain responsible for quick impulsive reactions while increasing activity in the part of the brain responsible for logical thought and control. A diligent approach to mindfulness can help people create a one-second mental space between an event or stimulus and the response. In that one second lies the opportunity to improve the way we decide and direct, the way we engage and lead. Altogether, firmly placing us in the driver's seat of our minds and by extension the lives we live.

Our program is about building meaningful and lasting mindfulness results in the workplace. The program consists of 8 Initial sessions, each about 45 minutes, where staff gathers for 10 minutes of discussion about the 'how/when/where/why' of meditation, followed by 25 minutes of meditation. We close with a short talk on heart practices and self-care.  Below is an outline of the week-by-week mindfulness practices of the program.
